Non-smoker experimenting with a pipe in his early 30's was turned on by a 3rd generation Danish pipe-maker/tobacconist to what he called "Black Bart" (after the lady-killer pirate). It took a looong time but I finally discovered his 'secret blend' was actually his local, Los Gatos, CA acquaintance, Peter Stokkebye's #23 BB. I'm still smoking it exclusively after 40 years.
