My brand, spanking, new Rossi (8122), just showed up in the mail yesterday but I'm already in love with it. It's my second Rossi purchase from 4noggins recently ( I bought an 8404 Zulu a few months ago) and I've had that pipe long enough to have had high hopes for this latest Rossi. Was immediately obvious that the quality fit & finish on the 8404 was not just a lucky get after I unboxed this 8122. Both pipes are lovely. Nicely balanced, finely crafted, comfortable, excellent smokers. I've only been smoking pipes for a little more than a year now, in that time I've purchased 10 pipes. All were under 75 bucks a piece and only two of them have proved disappointing. These two Rossi pipes are easily the best of the lot. That said, in general, I prefer sandblasted/rustic finishes to smooth. I'm exceedingly pleased with both of these pipes, but in terms of future Rossi purchases from 4noggins it is my sincere hope that they add some of the (many) not-smooth Rossi options (I'm seeing on other sites) to the inventory here. Great pipes at a great price.
