Just returned from the post office with my 7oz can of Granger. Im still very much a pipe smoking newbie and wanted to try a so called "codger" tobacco.
I guess I picked Granger for no other reason than it has a pointer dog on the can . lol.
In my younger days I had a kennel of bird dogs, setters and pointers, so maybe that had something to do with the selection.
Anyway, as soon as I got home, I opened the can and took a good whiff , not overpowering at all, proceeded to fill my current favorite pipe, as Fenice Romulus Skater, and had a very nice enjoyable smoke.
This tobacco lights very easy, is easy to smoke and stays lit for the whole bowl. Only a few light ashes left at the bottom.
Very pleased with this Granger, even though it cost an arm and a leg to import into
communist Canada these days. My first order was SP cherry and that bulk bag somehow got past the tax man at the border, but they sure made up for it this time.
To any newbie pipe smokers, I would not hesitate to try this burley.
I give it 3 stars out of 5. for whatever that is worth. :)
