Samuel Gawith: COMMONWEALTH MIXTURE 50g

Another real manly weed from sam. A little wet in the tin for myself. But after a wee bit of drying time it is a lovly rich Latakia forward full flavoured mixture that Is a joy to smoke. I like it in a large bowled thick wall pipe. I happen to use a Philip tripis. Pipe made in canada.

The best English mixture I have tasted, lovely sweet taste of the Virginia and woodsy Latakia, always try and have a couple of tins in reserve so as never to run out.Highly recommended.

Excellent simple smoke. 50/50 VA-Lat mix that is a cool and dry smoke. Heavy Latakia notes upon light that persist throughout the entire bowl. Virgina is well balanced and can bite a bit if you get it going too hot. Leaves a great aftertaste that compliments a Speyside single malt Scotch perfectly (smokey). Very highly recommended. Just a word of warning: This is not for the beginner or the faint of heart. It is a monochromatic smoke with a lot of body, but not a lot of complexity. Room note is tolerable. Very good for smoking while consumed with other activities (books, family, etc). Use in a dedicated Latikia pipe, as it will leave very heavy "ghosting" in any pipe it is smoked in. Other than that it is a very recommended product. 5 stars.
