Samuel Gawith: GROUSEMOOR 50g

SGGRS

Using a combination of hand-stripped flue-cured leaf, Grousemoor is first steamed prior to being cut. After further steaming, to give Grousemoor its own golden colour, the cut leaf is stoved then "rested".

So odd it should be from Norwich

What an eccentric smoke! It smels like my GGMa's Lemon Verbena spilt. But after a little airing (and lots of drying) this is the single best aeromatic I have found. No surprize it is an 18th century receipt, hence the archaic spelling. Grousemoor, What Ho!

Great mild Lakeland Aro

Bright colored wide cut Virginia ribbon with no stems. The aro component is quite strong, yet still allows the Virginia flavors through. I taste lemon mint, Vanilla and floral perfumes. Grousemoor sends me on a bit of a time machine as the perfumes in it remind me of the scents worn by my great-grandmother and aunts. All of whom were born around the turn of the century. You just don't smell things like that anymore, but they are here in the Lakeland blends to knock me back 40+ years on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Try it

I really like the aromatic smell. It burns well and is easy to smoke. It gives me small tongue bites but I am super sensitive to tobacco. I highly recommend this.

Oddly amazing

I honestly did not like it the first time I tried it. It sat in a bag for a couple weeks till I decided to try it again. Since I knew what to expect the second time I really enjoyed it. It's now my "out and about" tobacco
