A Broken flake tobacco, nose in the jar a faint smell of rich dark cake, lights easily in the pipe and with a gentle occasional tamp no relights. I tended to sip gently, rolling the smoke around my mouth savoring the sweetish flavor which grew stronger and developed a slight peppery overtone as I got down the bowl. It smoked dry it is not a strong tobacco but very flavorsome. It is nice to discover a [new to me] tobacco like this thoroughly enjoy it.
