Cornell & Diehl: KAJUN KAKE 2oz

This tobacco is delicious it has all sorts of flavors going on, from plum, to peppery, to bready. I know this sounds weird but I get almost a fried Cajun catfish or cajun style fried food when I smoke it and its in my top 3 as of late. Stuff is epic!

99 percent of the time I smoke Virginia blends, how this one got by me, I don't know. Another tasty red virginia blend that will definitely be in my rotation. A tangy red virginia with just the right amount of perique, easy smoking and I would say an excellent all day smoke.

In the vast majority of va/pers the virginia is in the front seat with perique acting as a mere condiment, but this is the total opposite of that, not that it's a bad thing. I absolutely love it! The perique gives the tobacco a ''mushroomy'' and ''cigar-ish'' flavor, almost making you believe that there is a certain degree of cigar leaf in it, but that's surprisingly not the case! The virginias and cavendish gives it a slight hint of sweetness that works in relative harmony with the perique. I absolutely recommend this blend if you like perique!

Cornell & Diehl Kajun Kake is simply delightful. Comes in a loose brick. Rub it out. Light it up. Relax. This is a great, fulsome tobacco - even though I'm wary of anything with Cavendish in it. Kajun Kake has a depth to it and relights well. There is no tongue burn, just an eminently satisfying, slightly spicy, upfront and balanced smoke. Could easily smoke it all day. The Perique is perfectly blended. This would probably age well, but I'll never know. Don't hesitate. A really distinguished and honest blend!
