Crazy delightful

The wizards at C&D have shoved and insane about of latikia in a blend and made it smooth.
The flavor of latikia is up front, smelling your hands after rubbing the kake out is delightful. Like a good smoker going outside.
First light the flavors were amazing. Deep dark salty smokey goodness. No creastoe off flavors some latikia heavy blends can have. It loves a slow sip with a thick pipe to get the most out of it. Tangy spicy flavors that will pick up into a bite if you sip a beer with a hot bowl turn into tangy sweet and sour flavors if you rest enough to need constant relights.
Have one pound resting while I finish this tin off. All my other tins have to be rejared due to my slow smoking pace, while my 1st 2 oz can of this is almost gone.
I have a few others I want to get a lifetimes worth, but I intend to not get under 8oz ever and store 5 lbs before stopping.
Hopefully find another tobacco I find equal, it's like Red Rapparee had a deeper flavor, like star of the east without oriental and Turkish instead.
Hmm this with a oriental leaf instead of Turkish might also be delicious.
Though it smokes good in a cob, my love with this is a briar churchwarden, allows that smoke plenty of time to cool with the slightest sip is delightful either retro inhaled or a French inhale.
I do hope to find something with oriental tobacco like this. That nose tingle from those tobacco's is all that is missing in this to make it the best tobacco I could imagine.
So far getting back into pipes and several tobaccos of all types sampled, this is my number 1, Red Rapparee and Peterson's Evening blend and star of the east flakes all tying for 2nd.
I do not like most aero's, cherry makes me sick. If you love cherry tobacco this might do that to you.

May become my #1 Tobacco . . .

Jeff, rather than write a new review, I'll simply put here what I posted in the Pipe Forum. If you'd rather I write a specific review for 4Noggins, I'll do that, too but here it is:

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's not really an English, nor is it an Oriental . . . . it's one of a kind and it's called Pirate Kake!

It is absolutely superb. If somebody could enlighten me as to what category to put it in, that'd be great.

As I smelled the tobacco, I reminisced about smoking trout in a wood smoker with my mom 50 years ago . . . and the taste was equally nostalgic. Never had a cake tobacco before and I'll get used to the prep, but what struck me is the nostagic quality of the experience.

Needless to say, I'll be ordering another 5 tins or so next month. Ho Ho Ho and a bottle of rum!!

Pleasant Smoke

Very nice earthy smoke, with a subtle peppery taste. Smooth, not harsh at all while still being strong. The room note evokes memories and thoughts of sitting around the campfire at my cottage.

Will definitely purchase again.
