Amazing

I am a veteran cigar smoker and have not been able to get into pipes. With Winter upon me and a kid in the house I have found I don't have anywhere to smoke, and even when I find a spot I don't have the time for a full cigar. I have tried a pipe before, with an assortment of tobaccos, and it has never scratched the itch or peaked my interest. On a whim I picked this up due to the cigar leaf... I dusted off my Nording pipe and tried it out. MAN AM I GLAD I DID. I have not even looked at my cigar humidor in about 2 weeks, and have been smoking this daily. It is great. I am currently waiting on some storage jars so I can try out a few of his other flavors. Storm Front is next on my list!

This blend is too good

I can't stop smoking this stuff! Phenomenal blend as usual by John.

Great smooth flavor

Dark Horse had me repacking all day. I enjoyed the deepness of this blend without the latika. It loses a star due to the cut, lots of shake in the bag when I got it. If this was a more dense ribbon, it'll be spot on.

It's all about the flavor!

Having a blend named in one's honor is a singular distinction and I'm humbled by this. This is Soulmate's Kiss in which the Latakia has been replaced in equal proportion by Cigar Leaf...and it works wonderfully well. Instead of a smokey tinge one gets a subtle added depth and roundness in the smoke...excellent. Like all of the John Patton blends this one comes at the perfect moisture level, packs and lights well and is easily managed down the bowl...and is quite coarse in cut, which I like. It starts somewhat sharp and then evens out to a smoke that is very pronounced in it's flavors, which are rich and full. To me, the jar aroma is strongly Turkish, musty and sweet, and the smoke is full of it as well with the Cigar Leaf and Perique peaking around the edges now and then. This is one that will wake up your taste buds for sure. Like other Patton blends, this one defies classification for me as it's in a class by itself. Another winner in the Patton line. Think of Bogie, slapping a little gun toting weasel around while snarling, "You'll take it, and you'll LIKE it!"...cause you absolutely will!
