Rattray's: OLD GOWRIE 100g

Rattray's Old Gowrie is an old, classic, predominantly Virginia blend: sweet, mild and middle of the road, with some vaguely gentle spice and a higher then medium, very satisfying strength. I remember the very first, love-at-first-smoke times I enjoyed Old Gowrie, and it's at it's best taken real, flavourfully slow. Won't bite, even if provoked - but don't rush! A superlative, must try tobacco - especially for Virginia connoisseurs who appreciate that only the very best will do. .

'Old Gowrie' by Rattray is one of the world's classic tobaccos. There's just something appealing about its quality that you can't quite put your finger on but that keeps you coming back. Perique is one of those tobaccos you either love or hate, but with 'Old Gowrie' it acts as a background condiment adding a delicate, subtle depth. This truly is an old fashioned, smooth masterpiece that conjures up less rushed times. Benefits from rubbing out and a little airing. You can also get it in bulk and if you don't you'll wish you had. It's an impressive tobacco.

This is one of my absolute favorite tobaccos! The sweetness, almost like honey and the woody, grassy flavors, all from the virginia. No bite at all. I can feel a little plesant "zing" on my tongue which is probably from the perique. Full of flavor but still very mild. Burns evenly and dosen´t need any relight. One of the best!
