A friend turned me on to the 1792 several years ago and after the hearing of the new FDA rulings I figured no blend is safe from them and ordered enough to cellar for years to come. This is one that ages real well and you are sure to luv especially if you like the Tonquin flavor. When I first tried it I was not too fond of the Tonquin, but it grew on me and now I crave the stuff. The only other tobacco that has ever had such an effect on me is Frog Morton Bayou & C&D Burley #1. Be sure to sign petitions against the new FDA ruling, leave messages and if you not sure what it is please read up on it because it's going to effect all us cigar and pipe smokers.

The name is testament to a flake that has stood the test of time for over two centuries. That should be remembered when lighting up. A small bowled pipe is the way to go. Rub it out. Dry it out. Then rub a little more straight out of the tin and place on the top of the bowl. Puff gently and be taken away by a standard that demands respect. Not for the faint hearted when smoked straight but a great mixer if you're not quite up to this classic in a league all of its own!
