A firm favorite for the pipe smoker looking for a medium strength, gentle and slow burning pipe tobacco. Manufactured using hand-stripped flue cured Virginias with no flavors added, Best Brown will reward with a cool, sweet smoke with a delectable aroma.
I've gone through a few tins of this over the years but I always end up with a sense of relief when I finally hit the end. There's not a lot going on here that interests me. The perfumey Gawith casing is definitely present here and light enough not to be too cloying, but it still tends to dominate what is a boring kind of VA flake. Full Virginia Flake is a lot more enjoyable for me and I tend to buy it when I see it. Best Brown is an acceptable substitute in times of crisis but I think I'd gravitate toward my other dozen favorites first.

Nice, solid every day smoke
One of my consistently favorite go-to smokes. Smooth, full-flavored, ball park (to me, at least) with SG's Full VA Flake.
