SIR WALTER RALEIGH - 7oz can

I am 74 years young, and growing up our family finances were rather austere as my parents put every extra nickel in building their dream home. They succeeded and lived happily for many years after. I remember my dad would every now and then, treat himself to a job well done by buying himself Sir Walter Raleigh tobacco. This back in the fifties and sixties, and I find myself treating my pipe smoking experience with a pouch or two of Sir Walter Raleigh pipe tobacco. A very pleasing smoke, especially when one is under the weather and nothing else seems to smoke well. I highly recommend keeping a pouch or two on hand when all else fails. I understand the tobacco has been around since 1927. That being the case then consider a great smoke that has been around for a long time.

Ive been smoking a pipe for around 3yrs now, and as most pipe smokers, ive spent all that time trying to find that smoke that touches the spot with every smoke, well i never thought i would be saying this but this is it for me, ive endless amounts of high end flakes of every kind in jars,that where a total waste of money, but this is the one for me, a cheap over the counter blend???? ist bloody great stuff & i love it, im glad to say ive finally stopped waisting money now, ill always have a guest blend at hand but this is my all time favourite for me 5*****all the way

I've been a pipe smoker for many years and I enjoy alot of different blends of tobacco but Sir Walter Raleigh is my daily go to blend. It's mild and flavorful and if you don't pack it too tight it never bites. It has a very good nutty flavor and burns cool.

Sadly i can't reccomend this tobacco. For me, i found it had a nasty tongue bite, and so it is stored for dire emergencies or as a guest blend.If i was able to award 1/2 a star that would be generous.
